You don't have to go it alone.

I respectfully acknowledge that I find joy, healing, and meaning on the land and sea of unceded Traditional Coast Salish Land of the lÉ™k̓ʷəŋən peoples (Songhees and Esquimalt Nations) and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples (Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tsawout, Tseycum, and Malahat Nations).

Overwhelming feelings
                    can be faced together.

When we feel pain, our nervous system does what it can to avoid it. Even when we know we’re not in physical danger, staying with uncomfortable feelings is not what our body wants us to do. In the safety of the consultation room, together we can take things slow as you face overwhelming emotions that are keeping you stuck.

You are accepted as you are.

Life is hard. You’re seeking counselling to get help moving forward in life. When we’re accepted as we are, there is more space for possibilities of what could be. I am constantly amazed at the resilience people have, so throughout therapy I will orient us towards your inner strength and celebrate your abilities. But sometimes, you don’t want to be resilient. You just want someone to see how much you’re hurting, and care. I will accept you as you are, and from there, you chart the course for where you want to go.

Have confidence to risk
                doing something different.

I love helping people come back to themselves so that they are accepting and compassionate with themselves, more aware of how they are constructing their reality, and confident in taking risks - making choices and setting boundaries - that reflect their true feelings and wants.

Put it all together, and counselling can help you to trust yourself to know that you can weather stormy seas and have the courage to live out loud - getting more of what you want in life and in your relationships, and feeling comfortable being your true self around others.
